Rules for Additional Categories
Additional Category Limitations are restrictions created by the user, which are applied to the entire transaction. This feature allows you to limit the availability of the promo to your App or desktop. It works best if you want to encourage new or existing users to install the app or visit your online store to redeem the promotion.
How Vouchery validates Additional Categories
Additional Categories are objects added to the API request for coupon redemption or validation. Unlike Product Categories, Additional Categories apply to the entire transaction. If the Category specified for the promotion does not match the restrictions set, we will reject the coupon code redemption and not apply the promotion to the transaction.
Creating Additional Categories
Additional Categories are created in a similar way to the other categories available on Vouchery: Customer Segments and Product Criteria restrictions.
