Hey everyone,

I’m the founder / owner of Softwarepair ( https://softwarepair.com/ ), and we’re planning to add a gift cards application to our site. But I’m kind of stuck — I want to do it right, and also want to make sure users trust us.

Here are my main concerns and what I’d love feedback on:

Trust & Legitimacy — If I let users “install” a gift card app from our domain, will people be suspicious? What would reassure them that it’s legit?
Security Risks — What are the biggest risks when distributing an app for gift cards (malware, phishing, etc)?
Verification — What steps should I take so that users can verify the installer is safe? (digital signatures, VirusTotal, code signing, etc.)
User Experience — How should I present this in a way that’s clear to users (“Yes, this app is from Softwarepair”) so they don’t hesitate?
Alternatives — Are there safer / more trusted ways to implement gift cards (web‑only, no install)?
